Morning - I have an HP Slimline Pavilion S5-1554, HP's Product #: H3L78AAR#ABA The system came with Windows v8.0, and has been updated by Windows to ver 8.1 I believe HP's Support App identifies the unit as a 'Model H3L78AA' As purchased the system came with a single 1TB hard drive and 6 gig of RAM. In any event, HP's Spec sheet list the Motherboard for the system as a Joshua-H61-uATX' As it presently sits, the has one (1x) long PCI Express x16 expansion slot '(Gen 2.0)' and 3x (presently empty) short PCI Express x1 also per the HP spec sheet 'Gen 2.0' My question is, does anyone know if the S5's (?) Intel H61 chipset support SSD's like one of these Intel 525 Series Lincoln Crest SSDMCEAC060B301 mSATA 60GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) which looks like it would plug directly in to one of the short PCI Express slots? If so, could the SSD be used with the Intel Smart Response Technology for SSD caching?
