Hi, This is my first post at the Dive Watches forum. Have been hanging out at the Casio forum.

Recently am contemplating this watch for diving so I decided to post her to see if anyone has any experience with this watch. The reason why I am attracted to this watch is because it has a depth meter and a thermometer. Am thinking of using this watch as a backup to my usual dive comp. I work underwater for a living and although I do not have that particular watch, I have (and have had) similar watches and definitely stand by citizen in diving environments. A fine watch as a computer backup. Only thing I always advise people -- learned through personal and painful experience -- is to put a 'strap' on the watch such as a zulu or velcro. Good luck and dive safe!
Yes, I like Dive Watches. We're waiting for you in Come on down to this special part of paradise.

I've seen it mentioned on various websites that sell these things that the battery only lasts about two years or so. Kinda sucky for a watch that should be sent back to the manufacturer or a certified technician. It's the reason I didn't pull the trigger on a similar one. Look at the Ecodrive models. Do the batteries in these really only last about two years???
Don, is that true? What has your personal experience been?
In fact, this battery thing is somewhat of a concern for me. If everytime I change the battery, I need to get it pressure tested, then the costs will just shoot up. I have considered the Ecodrive models but as mentioned in my other posts, those models cost considerably more. Alternatively I can stick to the automatic watches but they lack the depth meter and thermometer functions.
